Rivers of India

Project Introduction:

Rivers – the sustainers of civilisation have nourished mankind’s hopes and dreams over millennia. India has traditionally imagined and worshipped her rivers as divine entities. The country has adored and revered these great watercourses through tales, myths and songs. In turn, the rivers have shaped Indian thought and aesthetics. The twelve chosen rivers dominate most of the nation’s physical and mythical geography between themselves. Therefore to exhibit the deep influence of these great entities on our lives, the collection would take various paths to both inform  and absorb the audience, namely

physical products, a digital platform and an experiential exhibition.
